Refunds & cancellation.
Subscription fees are not refunded. Creator-deal payments are refunded in full when the agreed post is not published.
In short
- You can cancel your plan at any time; it stays active until the end of the month you’ve paid for.
- Subscription fees are not refunded.
- If a creator doesn’t publish a post you paid for, you get that money back in full.
Subscriptions
Cancelling your subscription
Cancel in your brand dashboard: open Billing and choose Manage subscription. This opens the Dodo Payments customer portal, where you can also change your payment method and download invoices. After you cancel:
- you aren’t charged again;
- your plan keeps working until the end of the current billing month;
- after that, launching campaigns and inviting creators stop. Your drafts, campaigns and conversations stay in your account.
If you can’t reach the portal, email contact@thereleasestack.com from your account email and we’ll cancel it for you.
No refunds on subscriptions
Plans are billed monthly in advance, and subscription fees are non-refundable. This includes:
- the current month after you cancel;
- months in which you didn’t launch a campaign or use your allowances;
- moving to a cheaper plan part way through a month;
- accounts paused or closed for breaking our Terms.
Upgrading part way through a month charges only the difference for the rest of that month. The only exceptions are a duplicate or mistaken charge, which we’ll correct, or where the law where you live gives you a right to a refund.
Creator deals and help
Refunds for creator deals
Payments for creator deals are separate from your subscription. You pay them to ReleaseStack directly, not through Dodo Payments, and we hold the creator amount until the post is live and you approve it.
You get a full refund of the creator amount, and the creator spend fee on it, when:
- the creator doesn’t publish the post by the agreed deadline;
- the creator withdraws, or the deal is cancelled, before the post is published; or
- the published post is removed before you approve it and isn’t restored.
Once a post is published as agreed and you’ve approved it, that amount is paid to the creator and can’t be refunded. If a post doesn’t match the accepted offer, ask for a revision before approving.
How refunds are paid
Creator-deal refunds go back to the account you paid from, usually within 7 business days of the refund being confirmed. When a refund is due for a subscription charge (a duplicate charge, for example), Dodo Payments returns it to your original payment method, and it can take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
Disputes and chargebacks
If something looks wrong, please email us before raising a chargeback with your bank. Most problems can be fixed quickly. Accounts with chargebacks may be paused while the dispute is open.
